Explore Palmertown Conservation Area
Covering 62 square miles - placing it within the towns of Greenfield, Corinth, Wilton, Saratoga Springs, and Moreau - the Palmertown Conservation Area features great trails open to the public, and with even more to come.
This massive preserve can be accessed from Moreau Lake State Park at its northern side, on 605 Old Saratoga Road in Gansevoort. A long trail network is in development to connect the Conservation Area's five towns with paths and recreation. At the same time, the beautiful stretch of land continues to be a great help in preserving the local ecosystem!

What to Expect
The Palmertown Conservation Area already has fantastic trails spanning from Moreau to the ridge of the Palmerton Range, but there's plenty more in store for the future. An incredible 1,000 acres have recently been added to the park, and a system of trails leading to Lincoln Mountain State Forest (Greenfield) and the Saratoga Greenbelt Trail (Saratoga Springs) is in the works.
If you want to connect with your community, the Palmerton Conservation Area even offers year-round events, encouraging a healthy relationship between visitors and nature. Past events include bird watches and ecological studies, hosted by experts from local Audubon societies, the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, and many, many more.
