I’ve come across some interesting, fun things that will be happening in the next couple weeks so I thought I would share them with you.<\/p>\n
Baseball Hall of Fame Induction<\/strong><\/p>\n Do you love the Great American Pass Time? Then a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is in order, and on July 22nd-25th The Hall of Fame will be holding it’s induction ceremony. Along with the induction there will free programs at the Doubleday field. If you’re driving you might want to take advantage of the trolley system that will bring you right to the museum.<\/p>\n Saratoga County Fair<\/b><\/p>\n This year will be the 170th Saratoga County Fair. It runs for 6 days starting on July 19th and running through the 24th. There will be a variety of activities and vendors. The fair is held in Ballston Spa at the Fairgrounds and expects at least 100,000 people over the 6 days. <\/p>\n Tickets are $8 for adult (Tues-Thurs.) and $10 for adults (Fri-Sun)<\/p>\n Racing Museum<\/b><\/p>\n The racing museum is located across the street from The Saratoga Race Course and is a nice way to spend Dark Tuesday when the horses aren’t running. There are several displays and you can even get your photo on a racehorse! Bobby Flay will be at the Racing Museum on August 12th to give a keynote speech.<\/p>\n Scenic Railway<\/b><\/p>\n Originally scheduled to begin on July 14h The Saratoga and North Creek Railroad is scheduled to start running on July 23rd. There are seven stops between Saratoga Springs and North Creek allowing for passengers to get out, do some shopping or sightseeing. The railway offers a dome car that offers the best view of the spectacular Adirondack scenery.<\/p>\n Tickets are $13 adult (one way, coach) $27 adult (one way, dome)<\/p>\n $11 for seniors 65+ (one way, coach) $25 (one way, dome)<\/p>\n children $9, ages 12 and up (one way, coach) $23 (one way, dome)<\/p>\n An all day pass can be purchased for:<\/p>\n Adult $19, coach and $40, dome<\/p>\n Senior $17 coach and $36 dome<\/p>\n Children $15 coach and $32 dome<\/p>\n That’s a few things going on during the next couple of weeks.
