Last year I created a book from many of the Black and White images that I had taken over the course of 4 years of coming to the track. I am primarily a B&W photographer who still shoots in film that I develop and print in my basement darkroom. Very Old-School! It took me all of those four years to figure out how to create images at the track that “spoke” with my voice. I am quite proud of the accomplishment and am even more thrilled that I get to come back often this year to continue that photographic journey.
This Friday, August 5th, I will be signing copies of my book at Terry Lindsay’s Equidae Gallery at the Holiday Inn on Broadway. The signing will take place from 6-8pm during the Champagne reception to celebrate the opening of this years gallery show of wonderful Equine art. I also have 4 peices of my B&W work in the show. I would love to meet you there!
If you can’t make it to the gallery this Friday, I will have two book signings at the National Museum of Racking and Hall of Fame located at 191 Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs. They will take place August 10th and 11th from 10am – 1pm. Proceeds of purchases of the book at these signings will go to benefit the museum.
