The company expects the project to be completed in 2021.<br \/>Courtesy Marini Homes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>By Rachel Phillips<br \/>\nMarini Homes has plans to build 22 townhomes behind Ellsworth Commons, off Route 9 in Malta.<br \/>\nThe plaza is located at 2101 Ellsworth Boulevard in Malta, in the heart of the downtown district of Malta.<!--more--><br \/>\nSince the 1940s, Marini Homes, based in Latham, has built over 3,000 homes in the area. The company focuses on residential development in the Capital Region, including Albany, Saratoga, and Rensselaer counties.<br \/>\nThe new community will consist of 22 townhomes across five buildings. Each home will range from 1,850-2,020 square feet, and will have three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. The homes will also have full basements, and either a one- or two-car garage.<br \/>\nWorking on the project is Saratoga-based Olsen Architects. Construction will start in the second quarter of 2020, the company said.
