After this year\u2019s parade, Santa will preside over the annual tree lighting ceremony.<br \/>Courtesy BSBPA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Ballston Spa Business &amp; Professional Association\u2019s annual Ballston Spa Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting will takes place, Friday, Dec. 1.<\/p>\n<p>The step off time is 6:30 p.m., proceeding on Milton Avenue and ending in Wiswall Park on Front Street with Santa lighting the Christmas tree.<\/p>\n<p>The parade features fire trucks, floats, animals, kids and Santa parading down the main street of the village.\u00a0 Once again this year, the parade will spotlight the Toys for Tots campaign, in partnership with the Ballston Spa Community Emergency Corps, Saratoga County Sheriff Department and U.S. Marine Corps.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers from these organizations will be on hand to collect donations of new, unwrapped toys from spectators along the parade route as well as at the tree lighting.<\/p>\n<p>Organizations, groups or businesses that would like to take part can visit www.ballston.org to register, or contact Ellen Mottola at the BSBPA office at 518-885-2772 or &#x69;&#x6e;&#x66;&#x6f;&#x40;&#x62;&#x61;&#x6c;&#x6c;&#x73;&#x74;&#111;&#110;&#46;&#111;&#114;&#103;.<\/p>\n<p>The parade headlines a holiday-themed First Friday, Ballston Spa\u2019s signature monthly event, which celebrated its 13th year in 2017.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ballston Spa High School singers and musicians and Union Fire Co. band members will perform holiday music on the street corners. After lighting the tree, Santa Claus heads to Ballston Spa National Bank on Front Street where he will visit with children.<\/p>\n<p>BSBPA encouraged all Ballston Spa businesses, churches, schools and community groups who have holiday-themed events or activities happening between Dec. 1 and\u00a0 Dec.\u00a0 3 to contact the organization with description, date and time of the event to be included in a schedule of events that will be posted on the its website, Facebook page and made available throughout the community.<\/p>\n<p>Organizations can send information to &#x69;&#110;f&#x6f;&#x40;&#98;a&#x6c;&#x6c;&#115;t&#x6f;&#x6e;&#46;o&#x72;&#x67; or mail to BSBPA, PO Box 386, Ballston Spa, NY, or call 518-885-2772. \u00a0 Submissions should be made no later than Nov. 16.<\/p>\n<p>The Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association, founded in 1983, is a nonprofit community organization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ballston Spa Business &amp; Professional Association\u2019s annual Ballston Spa Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting will takes place, Friday, Dec. 1.
