The family recently opened a facility in Mechanicville, their third location.<br \/>\u00a92017 Saratoga Photographer.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">By Liz Witbeck<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">I Love My Laundromat, a local family owned business, recently opened a third location in Mechanicville. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">I Love My Laundromat is owned and operated by the Modasra family: Ravi and his wife, Soniya, along with Ravi\u2019s parents Funil and Bhavna. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The family had many years of experience in the hotel and motel industry, and eventually decided to expand to laundromats. They opened their first location in Scotia in 2009 and a second location in Troy in 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The newest venue is located at 27 Park Plaza in Mechanicville.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The location is a self-service laundromat. Customers are able to come in and wash and dry their own clothes in a clean and friendly environment. There are coin-operated machines available for customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Hours are from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, to make it truly convenient for people to come in and do their laundry, even if it requires coming in before work or later at night. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The Modasra family is planning on adding more services to its locations in the near future, they said. When researching throughout the Capital Region, Ravi said he saw that many areas lacked full-service laundromats. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><!--more-->\u201cThere is a need for a full-service location. We will offer washing, folding, drop-off, pick-up, and dry cleaning services,\u201d he said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Customers are able to drop off their clothes for dry cleaning. There are other laundering services available, such as dropping off laundry and having an attendant wash, dry and fold them, making the laundry available to pick up later. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The Modasra family enjoys being in Mechanicville. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe like to be an intricate part of the community,\u201d Ravi said. \u201cI enjoy getting to know our customers.
