Members of the sales department at the Saratoga Hilton recently presented Lisa Nichols, president of the Dake Foundation for Children, with a donation check of $7,200.

The donation was a result of proceeds from the downtown hotel’s annual Breakfast with Santa event held in December. Officials said this year’s event resulted in a record amount donated to the foundation, which was founded to provide children with disabilities the tools they need to become as independent as possible.

This event included a buffet breakfast, a gift raffle and an opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus. The money will be used to fund continuing efforts to provide children with disabilities access to equipment and services that will enable them to reach their fullest potential for participation within their families, communities and with their peers.
