{"id":28658,"date":"2013-08-06T20:49:05","date_gmt":"2013-08-07T00:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2013\/08\/sarabella-pizza-opens-in-malta.html"},"modified":"2017-11-08T13:54:49","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T18:54:49","slug":"sarabella-pizza-opens-in-malta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2013\/08\/sarabella-pizza-opens-in-malta\/","title":{"rendered":"Couple Opens SaraBella Pizza In Malta At Site Formerly Operated As Double D&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"img-left\">\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"sarabella pizza.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2013\/08\/sarabella20pizza.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" class=\"alignleft\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"img-caption\">A ribbon cutting ceremony was held recently at SaraBella Pizza, the second location for owners Domenic and Lisa Fuda, who also own a pizzeria by the same name in Colonie\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>SaraBella Pizza, created in Colonie,<br \/>\nopened a second location at 128 Dunning<br \/>\nSt. in Malta.<\/p>\n<p>The flagship store at 391 Sand Creek<br \/>\nRoad in Colonie continues to deliver its special<br \/>\nbrand of pizza and Italian homemade<br \/>\ngoods in the Capital District.<\/p>\n<p>Owners Domenic and Lisa Fuda are actually<br \/>\nreturning to the area.<br \/>\n&#8220;Dom started out in the pizza business<br \/>\nhere in Malta as a co-owner of Double<br \/>\nD&#8217;s Pizza (the same Dunning Street site)<br \/>\n16 years ago,&#8221; said Lisa. &#8220;Dom decided to<br \/>\nbranch out on his own with SaraBella in<br \/>\nColonie right before we got married and<br \/>\nthe two of us built the pizzeria together<br \/>\nand have been very successful with it. When<br \/>\nthe opportunity came up to take over full<br \/>\nownership of Double D&#8217;s Pizza in Malta and<br \/>\nturn it into SaraBella Pizza, we took it.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been in Colonie for nearly three years and it&#8217;s been really fantastic serving the neighborhood our homemade pizza, dinners and sandwiches,&#8221; said Domenic. &#8220;I&#8217;m really excited to come back to Malta to serve up our authentic Italian SaraBella food to the folks in Saratoga County. The brick ovens have been installed and are ready to go.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;At SaraBella, everything on the menu is made daily on the premises and we guarantee that what we make is done in the old-fashioned Italian tradition. And, we will continue in that tradition in our new Malta location.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Fudas completely renovated the old Double D&#8217;s Pizza to create SaraBella Pizza. SaraBella is a family-owned and operated full-scale pizzeria offering brick oven pizza, specialty pies, and authentic Brooklyn-style Sicilian pizza.<\/p>\n<p>SaraBella Pizza in Malta will feature the same dinner, everyday and promotional specials as the Colonie location.<\/p>\n<p>The menus will be the same in both locations, the owners said. Catering is also offered.<\/p>\n<p>Delivery in Malta and surrounding areas is free with a $10 minimum purchase.
