CLA SITE Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Planning PC has moved its offices.

CLA SITE recently relocated its offices from 157 Lake Ave. to 58 Church St. in Saratoga Springs.

CLA SITE has been in business for 19 years, starting as a site landscape architectural and planning firm and adding the civil engineering component in 2004.

Peter Loyola, RLA, principal landscape architect, said that the timing was right and the company needed more space to accommodate a growing staff. The firm has grown from two employees to seven.

The team performs work throughout the state and recent projects include upgrading the infrastructure and construction of a main lodge and amphitheater at Camp Walden in Diamond Point. The company also completed a waterfront improvement project there.

The move also coincides with its recent designation as a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in August 2015.

“There is a huge need for MBE firms in engineering and planning,” said Loyola. “One of the main questions we were asked during the final interview phase of the certification application was, ‘Why have you waited so long to do it?'”

One of the company’s first clients when he started CLA SITE was David King, owner of Lake George RV Park. King has continued his association with the company for the past 19 years, with CLA SITE just recently completing a multi-year project that included the development of a resort master plan and the inclusion of a premier dog park on the property. Other work included re-configuring the sites, updating obsolete systems, and installing planters throughout the park to enhance the environment for its guests.

“We are especially proud of our long-lasting relationships with our clients,” said Loyola. “We believe that our professionalism and the high caliber of our work keeps clients coming back to us when it is time to re-evaluate, plan, and execute new projects for communities of all sizes.”

Other recently completed local and regional projects include the Lake Luzerne streetscape enhancements, which included the addition of new sidewalks, new curbside drainage, pedestrian crosswalks and handicap-accessibility throughout the project.

CLA SITE was responsible for coordination of the town and state agency approvals, as well as construction documentation, administration services, and project oversight.

CLA SITE has also worked on a number of waterfront enhancement projects, the most recent one being in the town of Stony Creek, as part of a state grant for their waterfront’s revitalization.

CLA SITE offers site planning, design and construction, as well as environmental permitting and project management. Its goal is always to have the lowest possible impact on the community, while providing sustainable community enhancements. In particular, the firm focuses on parks, trails, community recreation sites, along with municipal streetscapes and community revitalization.

They also handle water/wastewater infrastructure, visual impact assessment, and construction sector storm water and environmental permitting. They have a track record of successful collaboration with state and federal agencies, as well as with local municipalities.
