\naccreditation by the College of American Pathologists
\n(CAP). The hospital has maintained CAP accreditation
\nsince 1995.<\/p>\n
More than 7,600 facilities worldwide are CAP
\naccredited. As such, they must comply with standards
\nthat meet or exceed those set by the U.S.
\ngovernment.<\/p>\n
CAP re-accreditation is awarded every two
\nyears following a rigorous site inspection that
\nincludes a thorough examination of lab records
\nand quality control procedures. The accreditation
\nteam also reviews laboratory staff qualifications,
\ninspects equipment and facilities, examines the
\nlab safety program and record, and assesses overall
