Ballston Spa National Bank announced
\nplans to expand its footprint into Albany
\nCounty with a new branch office to be
\nlocated at 1207 Troy-Schenectady Road,
\nLatham.<\/p>\n
The Saratoga County-based bank will
\nlease space from First Columbia in a newly
\nannounced mixed-use building at Riverhill
\nCenter, an office park east of the Niskayuna
\ntown line.<\/p>\n
BSNB currently operates 10 branches
\nin Saratoga County and reported assets of
\nmore than $400 million as of September 30.
\nBank officials said that pending federal
\napproval of the new location, the branch
\nwill feature efficient, state-of-the-art commercial
\nbanking services and is expected
\nto open this spring.<\/p>\n
It will have multiple ATM lanes in addition
\nto lobby service. One ATM will be
\ndesignated for fast-cash dispensing, while
\na second lane will also provide the ability
\nto deposit cash and checks.<\/p>\n
Officials said the branch will feature a
\nmodern design and contemporary appeal,
\nwith flexible meeting spaces providing
\ncustomers with access to the bank’s commercial
\nbanking, mortgage lending, and
\ntrust and investment experts. For customers
\nwishing to access accounts remotely, the
\nbranch will provide access to BSNB’s online
\nand mobile banking channels.<\/p>\n
In support of its goal to develop new relationships in the business and professional
\ncommunity, the new Latham branch
\nwill be the first BSNB banking center with
\nemphasis on commercial banking services,
\nofficials said. The staff will consist of
\nprofessionals with expertise in customer
\nservice, commercial lending, online cash
\nmanagement, remote deposit capture and
\ncommercial deposit services.<\/p>\n
“Given our plans for continued growth
\nand the economic opportunities within
\nAlbany County, we are very excited to
\nopen a new branch in Latham”, said BSNB
\nPresident and CEO Christopher R. Dowd.<\/p>\n
“While this location marks our first branch
\noutside of Saratoga County, we’ve been
\nserving business customers in the Albany
\nmarket for many years and know the community
\nthrough our membership in the
\nregional chamber of commerce and through
\nadditional long-standing relationships.
\nThis new office will combine the best in
\npersonal service and customer convenience
\nwith an emphasis on our business banking
\ncapabilities.”<\/p>\n
