{"id":15759,"date":"2014-10-08T13:15:34","date_gmt":"2014-10-08T17:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2014\/10\/area-weichert-realtors-northeast-office-get-merger-agreement-with-realtyusa.html"},"modified":"2014-10-08T13:15:34","modified_gmt":"2014-10-08T17:15:34","slug":"area-weichert-realtors-northeast-office-get-merger-agreement-with-realtyusa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2014\/10\/area-weichert-realtors-northeast-office-get-merger-agreement-with-realtyusa\/","title":{"rendered":"Area Weichert Realtors-Northeast Office Get Merger Agreement With RealtyUSA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"img-left\">\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"weichert-realtyusa.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2014\/10\/weichert-realtyusa.jpg\" class=\"alignleft\" height=\"223\" width=\"300\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"img-caption\">Peter Staniels, left, and Doug Engles, second from left, of Weichert, pose with RealtyUSA CEO\/President Merle Whitehead, far right, and VP\/General Manager, Albert Picchi\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>RealtyUSA announced it has merged<br \/>\nthe local real estate franchise Weichert<br \/>\nRealtors-Northeast, Capital Region offices<br \/>\nwith RealtyUSA.<\/p>\n<p>The move became effective Sept. 17.<br \/>\nOfficials said the merger follows many<br \/>\nsuccessful years as an affiliate Weichert<br \/>\nfranchisee and the expiration of the franchise<br \/>\nagreement.<\/p>\n<p>Weichert Realtors-Northeast agents will<br \/>\ncontinue to service their clients with the enhanced<br \/>\nproducts and services of RealtyUSA<br \/>\nand a broader Upstate New York market<br \/>\nreach, the groups said.<\/p>\n<p>After growing a successful company<br \/>\nover the past 25 years and after much due<br \/>\ndiligence, Doug Engels and Peter Staniels,<br \/>\nco-owners and operators of local real estate<br \/>\nfranchise Weichert Realtors-Northeast, and their team of approximately 65 Realtors<br \/>\nand professional staff will join RealtyUSA&#8217;s<br \/>\nCapital Region sales force.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the new RealtyUSA agents<br \/>\nwill continue to operate out of their former<br \/>\nWeichert locations in Guilderland, Clifton<br \/>\nPark and Saratoga, bringing the number of<br \/>\nRealtyUSA offices serving the Capital District<br \/>\nto 12, and increasing their local market<br \/>\nshare to just over 23 percent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am excited about the opportunity to<br \/>\nwork with the management team and all of<br \/>\nthe agents and staff at Realty USA,&#8221; Engels<br \/>\nsaid. &#8220;When two top companies have the<br \/>\nchance to come together and create new<br \/>\nsynergies and market place dynamics everyone<br \/>\nbenefits. Peter Staniels and I built our<br \/>\ncompany over the last 25 years and I look forward to this new era with RealtyUSA.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Staniels said after years of doing business<br \/>\nwith agents and managers of RealtyUSA, &#8220;I<br \/>\nhave great respect and admiration for what<br \/>\nthey have accomplished. I also have many<br \/>\nfriends there as a result.
