Plans are under development for the expansion
\nof the Hannaford Supermarket located on Treible
\nRoad, off Rowland Street, in Milton.<\/p>\n
Eric Blom, Hannaford spokesman, said an
\n8,000-square-foot expansion is planned of the current
\n36,4000-square-foot store.<\/p>\n
Plans are for the expanded Hannaford to offer
\nmore than 8,000 new items across fresh, frozen,
\nand packaged foods, with many more natural and
\norganic items available. A drive-thru pharmacy is
\nplanned, along with the addition of a private consultation
\nroom in which pharmacy customers may
\ndiscuss health issues with a pharmacist or receive
\nflu shots in a more private setting, said Blom.<\/p>\n
Plans are to apply a fresh, new look to the entire
\nstore, opened in 2000, he said. More parking spaces
\nwill be added as well.
\nPending municipal approvals, Blom said Hannaford
\nplans to begin new construction in the first
\nhalf of 2015.<\/p>\n
Blom said Hannaford is always looking to make
\nimprovements in its stores. When the economic
\nconditions in the local community flourish, he said
\nHannaford is “thrilled” because that means that
\nHannaford will flourish as well.<\/p>\n
Hannaford Supermarkets also unveiled in early
\nMay a series of renovations and improvements to
\nits Saratoga Springs store located at 95 Weibel Ave.
\nThe store renovations are geared toward creating
\na better overall shopping experience for
\nHannaford customers by updating store d\u00e9cor
\nand expanding product variety in the store’s
\norganic\/natural offerings, company officials
\nsaid. The updated store features wider aisles
\nand will expand its traditional olive bar to a
\nMediterranean-style bar.<\/p>\n
“Hannaford Supermarkets is known for our
\nsignature combination of everyday low prices, quality
\nfoods and outstanding service,” said Saratoga
\nSprings store manager Steve Robyck. “This project
\nmakes that experience even better by introducing
\nsome great, new products and providing a fresh look
\nto the whole store. We look forward to showing the
\nSaratoga Springs community the results of what we
\nhave been working on.”<\/p>\n
On Saturday, May 17, Hannaford will host a Close
\nto Home Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers will
\nhave the opportunity to meet and sample products
