The owners of two noteworthy buildings in
\nSaratoga Springs have agreed to an exchange
\nof ownership.<\/p>\n

The building at 17 Maple Ave., formerly the
\nsite of The Metro night spot and restaurant, and
\n446 Broadway, the Silverado building, are the
\nsubjects of that arrangement.<\/p>\n

The 17 Maple Ave. was owned by Melissa
\nPaquet of Miranda Realty. It was purchased
\nand renovated by Peter Paquet in the 1970s
\nand under his direction The Metro became
\none of the most popular nightclubs in the
\nregion. Saratoga Historic Restorations, owned
\nby Thomas Gardner and Mark Straus, is taking
\nover that structure.<\/p>\n

According to thew new owners, future plans for the building and courtyard are being developed and they are seeking tenants with new ideas and concepts for bringing new life to the facility.<\/p>\n

446 Broadway, owned by Saratoga Historic Restorations, will go to Paquet. Under the stewardship of Saratoga Historic Restorations, it has undergone extensive renovations in the last few years, including new heating systems, a new roof and a restored fa\u00e7ade. It includes the Silverado store and four apartments on the upper floors.<\/p>\n

The exchange parties said they anticipate no changes in the use of the buildings. Saratoga Historic Restorations owns the Saratoga Marketplace and several other buildings on the same block.<\/p>\n

Since the 1970s, Saratoga Historic Restorations has restored several properties in the city and focused on the commercial revitalization of Broadway. They recently received awards from the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation for the exterior renovations to their buildings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
