Roosevelt Baths & Spa, the historic spa in Saratoga Spa State Park, recently completed renovations to every treatment room and added new massage therapy options, enhancing the facility experience.
The upgrades complement the major renovations that Delaware North completed at the Gideon Putnam, also located in Saratoga Spa State Park, in 2018. Delaware North operates both properties on behalf of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
All 42 treatment rooms have been furnished with new furniture, black-out curtains and cork-backed flooring. Officials said the historic mineral bathtubs have been fitted with new acrylic shells that protect the historic nature of the cast iron tubs from the 1930s, while upgrading the spa experience.
In the relaxation room, officials said there is new lounge furniture (eight chaise lounges, six oversized chairs, three café-style seating arrangements) that provides guests and hotel guests a serene relaxation space. A fresh coat of paint and waterproof/antimicrobial cork-backed flooring completes the area.
Mostly known for its mineral baths, the spa has added several new massage therapy offerings to its services menu, including a Himalayan salt stone massage, heated bamboo massage, focused tension massage and good karma aromatherapy massage.
A new golf cart is available to transport guests to and from The Gideon Putnam Hotel and Roosevelt Baths & Spa. A complimentary shuttle is also available during racing season to local destinations free of charge.

The Gideon Putnam, a historic boutique hotel, opened in 1935 for visitors to benefit from the healing qualities of the baths and spa. Since 2008, Delaware North has spent millions of dollars renovating guest rooms, corridors, the lobby, Putnam’s restaurant, meeting spaces, and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
Spa guests and guests of the nearby Gideon Putnam enjoy complimentary use of the spa’s relaxation room, steam room and locker room facilities.
