Holidays goers can once again enjoy the annual Quick Response Restoration holiday light show and display.
The event, called Santa’s Playland, is now in its 19th year. It will be held at the company headquarters, 2077 Route 9, Round Lake.
Vincent Laurenzo of Quick Response said this was something his father started as a away to give back to the community and today the show still upholds that tradition.
“This is something that is important to our family and to all of those 50 plus volunteers who make it happen,” said Laurenzo.
The company, based in Round Lake, specializes in fire damage repair and restoration but has also found a name by hosting this wildly popular free holiday-themed light show they say attracts over 8,000 visitors every year.
The event will be set with horse-drawn wagon rides, train rides, kiddie rides, Rudolph, Frosty, Santa and more.
The free community event is planned for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, 5:30-9 p.m. Parking will be off site, south of Quick Response, at Corpus Christi and Sysco.
Laurenzo said 14 buses will make continuous trips to assure guests are brought to and from the event.
This year, Quick Response is adding a charitable component and is sponsoring Real Kids Wear Pink, a cancer fundraising charity.
“All donations will go directly to Real Kids Wear Pink, something we are proud to be a part of. We have had thousands of families come through Santa’s Playland each year and it is completely free. It feels good to give back to the community that has supported our company through the years,” said Laurenzo.
