The Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association (BSBPA) announces additional vendors and entertainment for the 17th annual “The Way We Were” Car Show to be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, on Front Street in Ballston Spa.
Rain date for the event is the following Sunday, Oct. 20.
Front Street in the village will be blocked off from Milton Avenue past the Old Iron Spring to accommodate car exhibits and vendors. In addition to the classic and specialty cars on display, there will be live music from Betsy & The ByeGons, a Kids’ Zone with bounce house and children’s activities including balloon artist and face painting, plus car related and other vendors.
Food will be available throughout the show route from several restaurants, food trucks and community organization vendors, including The Brickyard, Fantastic Four’s Fish Fry, Coffee Planet, Given to Fry, Ballston Spa Rotary and Ballston Spa Lions Club, among others. ommunity Emergency Corps will have a vehicle and equipment on display and Brookside Museum’s exhibits will be open to visitors.
Trophies will be awarded for Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Import, Farthest Traveled, Oldest Vehicle, Mayor’s Choice, President’s Choice & Best Stock Vehicle and for top scores in each of the following categories: Classic 31 & Older, Classic 32-41, Classic 46-54, Classic 55-60, Classic 61-74, Classic 75-92, Modern 93+, Street Rods & Customs (Pre and Post War), Modified, Trucks (Stock and Modified), Corvettes, Tuner Cars, Import Stock, Muscle Cars (Classic, Transitional and Modern) and Mustangs.
Judging begins at 9 a.m. with trophies awarded at 3 p.m.
Car exhibitors can register on the day of show for $20. There is no cost to spectators. All proceeds will benefit the community activities and efforts of the BSBPA.
Dash plaques will be given to the first 400 cars registered and the first 200 cars registered will receive goodie bags.
