Adirondack Ultra Cycling now has a storefront in downtown Schuylerville.
Owner and operator John Ceceri said after being in the bicycle business for over 30 years, he decided it was time to have an actual physical location.
Ceceri opened up the 160 Broad St. location in late June. He said business has been what he expected.
“We opened up after what is usually the busiest season, but we are doing just fine and we know this will help us lead into and be ready for the spring,” said Ceceri
Ceceri runs the business with the help of his wife, Kathy, also a cycling enthusiast. Ceceri said he hopes to be able to hire an additional person next spring to help out in the 800-square-foot store. He said he is not only selling bicycles, but building custom bikes, providing custom fittings and repairing them as well.
“When you walk in, you will find your typical bike shop, with everything you would expect. We are pretty much a one-stop shop for all things bicycle,” said Ceceri.
The store has Bianchi bicycles, ranging in levels from children’s bikes to professional racing bikes.
Prior to opening the store, Ceceri operated Adirondack Ultra Cycling as a biking event specialist and still continues to do that.
The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit the website adkultracycling.com.
