Clifton Park is now home to a pilates studio that specializes in classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level.
Owner Saam Arshad said his franchise has something to offer everyone, all in a state-of-the-art, modernized facility located steps away from Clifton Country Mall, at 15 Clifton Country Road.
Arshad said he came to love pilates when he began looking into different ways to stay fit, something he has always been passionate about. Pilates, he said, focuses on building a foundation of balance, strength, mobility and flexibility.
The Club Pilates franchise offers low- to high-impact workouts that challenge muscles of the core. Club Pilates does not use the traditional pilates mat. Instead it uses specialized equipment like the Reformer, EXO-Chair, bosu ball, TRX suspension trainer, and springboards.
“I am passionate about health and wellness. This seems to really be making a difference in people’s lives,” said Arshad.
Club Pilates Clifton Park has seven class formats and four levels of classes within its flexible program.
They offer a 500-hour training program for those who want to learn how to teach pilates. All instructors go through hands-on learning combined with an online lecture platform.
The Pilates franchise first started in 2007, and is now across the nation, with thousands of members. Arshad has a background in small business and when the opportunity arose to open the franchise, he took it.
“I was looking for a career change and saw this as a good way to mix fitness and business,” said Arshad.
