Saratoga County has joined 31 other New York counties in attaining a StormReady designation through the National Weather Service.
Stephen DiRienzo, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service’s Albany office, presented Saratoga County with the certification.
“The county of Saratoga is extremely proud to be one of 32 counties to receive the StormReady certification,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Kevin Tollisen of Halfmoon. “I am proud of this StormReady certification and commend the county’s Office of Emergency Services staff for their proactive approach to enhance public safety. Our residents should know that all of our departments are prepared to handle weather related incidents, and that their safety is our top priority.”
Help, Hope, Humanity Award To Robin Dalton
Shelters of Saratoga announce that Robin Dalton has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Help, Hope and Humanity award.
The agency said Dalton has immersed herself in the Saratoga community her family has called home since 2007. While raising a family of four children, she’s also an accomplished commercial real estate agent for Roohan Realty.
State Seeks Renewable Energy Project Proposals; Will Award Funding In November
New York state announced the third annual solicitation for large-scale renewable energy projects under the state’s Clean Energy Standard.
The solicitation is expected to support approximately 1.5 million megawatt-hours of renewable electricity per year, enough to power over 200,000 homes, and will accelerate New York’s transition to a clean-energy economy.
‘Fish At 30 Lake’ Restaurant At Pavilion Grand Hotel Celebrates New Ownership
Pavilion Grand Hotel, owned and operated by Prime Companies, celebrated an official opening of Fish at 30 Lake under new ownership in May.
The seafood-centric restaurant, located within the Pavilion Grand Hotel, was purchased in November by Ronald Farber and Jodie Leuchten, also the owners of R+R Kitchen and Bar and Upstairs at 43 Phila in Saratoga Springs.

Fingerpaint on Broadway in Saratoga Springs is in the midst of a $1 million renovation that company partner Bill McEllen said should be completed by early July.
He said the decision to renovate came as a result of the company’s continued growth over the past several years.
Star Radio Returns To Saratoga Springs, Will Offer Music And Localized Information
Saratoga’s Star Radio is returning to the area to offer a variety of music and information to listeners living in the Saratoga County region.
In May, Border Media LLC and A&J Radio LLC formed a partnership called Saratoga Radio LLC, which purchased WSSV-AM, 1160AM, licensed to Mechanicville, and 93.3FM, a new FM translator signal licensed to Saratoga Springs.
