Fingerpaint on Broadway in Saratoga Springs is in the midst of a $1 million renovation that company partner Bill McEllen said should be completed by early July.
He said the decision to renovate came as a result of the company’s continued growth over the past several years.
“The rationale behind the expansion stems from our steady growth. We’ve had an explosive growth period in our Saratoga office,” said McEllen.
He said they redesigned the Saratoga office in an effort to better utilize the space that the company purchased a year ago for $9 million. The changes included updates and the addition of cubicles and conference rooms.
ABN Design of Saratoga Springs provided design services and Bonacio Construction, also in Saratoga Springs, is doing the work. Furnishings are being provided by Tech Valley Office Interiors of Albany.
Since first opening in 2008, the advertising and marketing firm has made a name for itself in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology advertising community. They are up to about 220 employees, with half the staff in the Saratoga office, where the company is headquartered.
They also have locations in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Columbus, Ohio, and Morristown, N.J.
McEllen said during the renovations the staff has been working out of a temporary office space, with staff at both One Franklin Square and Three Franklin Square, which they have rented out.
“It is all part of our long range plan that will continue to foster and develop growth,” said McEllen.
