Saratoga Springs-based Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service is acquiring family owned Plattsburgh Distributing, a distributor of Budweiser, Rolling Rock and energy drinks in the North Country.
Terms of the sale were undisclosed.
“It’s a great opportunity to grow our business,” Saratoga Eagle president Jeff Vukelic said. “It’s a family owned business, and we felt a lot of synergy there.”
Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service is also a family owned and operated business founded in 1933.
It serves Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, Washington, Essex, Albany, Franklin and Rensselaer counties.
The company operates out of a 150,000-square-foot facility at 45 Duplainville Road, Saratoga Springs, delivering five million cases of craft beers, domestic and imported alcoholic beverages, wine and spirits, energy drinks to over 2,500 customers.
Vukelic said they would maintain the transfer station at Plattsburgh, keeping some of the workers employed from Plattsburgh Distributing to distribute products to Franklin, Clinton, and northern Essex counties.
The company has distribution centers in Saratoga Springs, Rochester, Lancaster, Syracuse and Owego.
