Mannix Marketing has added John Volza and Dawn Neville to its digital marketing team.
Volza has a wide-ranging small business background. At Mannix, he will be working with local and national business clients who are looking to increase their business through digital marketing and search engine optimization.
Originally from Utica, Volza graduated with a B.A. in English and gender studies from Skidmore College and resides in Saratoga Springs. He previously worked as a radio disc jockey, manager of a local coffee roasting factory and small commercial insurance underwriter, where he worked directly with small business owners.
Neville is a digital marketing strategist and project manager on the SEO and web development team.
With nearly 20 years in the marketing business, she has a diverse background working in marketing and communications, including stints at a top engineering university, a multibillion-dollar company, a nonprofit organization and a digital marketing agency.

Mickey Orta has joined the NBT Wealth Management as senior vice president and a member of the NBT’s wealth leadership team.
Orta is based in the bank’s Glens Falls Regional Office and is responsible for leading NBT’s retirement plan sales efforts and regional wealth management strategies.
Orta has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He comes to NBT from Glens Falls National Bank, where he had responsibility for leading the Wealth Management Division and served on GFNB’s senior management team. He was also the portfolio manager for the North Country Equity Growth Fund.
Orta, a resident of Queensbury, graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is a certified trust and financial advisor.
Orta serves on the boards of Tri-County United Way, Adirondack Civic Center Coalition and Queensbury Community Scholarship Association.

Adworkshop, a marketing agency with offices in Lake Placid and Saratoga Springs, as hired Michael Fudzinski to the newly created role of executive vice president.
Fudzinski, the former global director of partnership marketing at Red Bull North America, brings 15 years of business development and marketing experience to the new role. While at Red Bull, he led the event sponsorship program.
Prior to Red Bull, Fudzinski spent more than six years at Octagon’s Olympic and Action Sports Division working with Olympic athletes. He has worked with major brands, including Vail Resorts, GoPro, L.L. Bean, Utah Sports Commission, and BFGoodrich Tires.
Fudzinski’s mandate includes growing the agency by identifying and securing new clients, while developing the agency’s service offerings for current clients.

The National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs announced that Jason Samuels Smith has joined the Lewis A. Swyer School of the Arts as the first ever director of tap dance programming.
Smith is an advocate for the art form of tap, influencing and introducing the culture of tap dance to audiences of all ages and backgrounds across the globe. His stage performances include leading roles in ‘Bring in Da’Noise, Bring in Da’Funk” and “Imagine Tap!” Choreography and special guest performances include feature films “Idlewild,” and Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”
He continues to tour the world with his own tap company formerly known as A.C.G.I. (Anybody Can Get It). His extensive work as an instructor and mentor has had an immense impact on opening the doors to countless opportunities for tap dance and dancers alike, museum officials said.
In addition to founding and directing the tap program at Debbie Allen Dance Academy (LA), teaching on faculty at Broadway Dance Center (NYC), and offering special guest workshops, he has consulted on several new festivals, projects, and events.
Accolades include a Dance Magazine award, an Emmy and an American Choreography Award for Outstanding Choreography; the Gregory Hines Humanitarian Award; Hoofers Award; Andrew Mellon Grants; Joyce Foundation Residency; and an Alpert/McDowell Residency Award, among others.
The School of the Arts was founded in 2008. Housed in the Lewis A. Swyer Studios, located directly behind the museum, the school offers a full range of dance classes for students age 3 to adult and for all levels from beginner to pre-professional.

Brooke Bucinell, who is completing her studies with the Sage Graduate School’s nutritional sciences program, has joined the Mechanicville Area Community Services Center as a full-time intern.
Previously, Bucinell worked for the Ithaca Women’s, Infants and Children’s program as a nutritionist. She also was a resident assistant at SUNY Oneonta for three years. Bucinell earned her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Oneonta in dietetic sciences.
Her internship at the community center enables her to work with MACSC clients and programs for eight weeks. At the conclusion of her internship, she will be eligible to take the state test for certification as a registered Dietician.
