Capital Area Physical Therapy and Wellness of Malta has acquired Cocozzo Physical Therapy PC of Malta.
Capital Area Physical Therapy and Wellness was established in August 2013 and opened a second branch in Queensbury in 2015. They currently staff six physical therapists.
The former owner of Cocozzo Physical Therapy, Amanda Cocozzo, PT, was hired as a full-time practicing clinician at the Malta branch of Capital Area Physical Therapy and Wellness.
The Malta branch also plans an expansion of their clinic space by approximately 800 square feet by Aug. 1.
“We are extremely pleased and excited to have Amanda join our team of already outstanding physical therapists”, said co-owner Dr. Andrew J. Gaetano. “Amanda has proven to be an excellent physical therapist for several years and has long established trust in the local community. We’re excited to have her on our team and we know together we can continue to help spread our vision of promoting a healthy community through improving our patients’ movement.”
As pain and movement specialists, the staff at Capital Area Physical Therapy and Wellness has been working closely with local orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, podiatrists, and other medical professionals for close to five years to deliver quality hands-on care, Gaetano said. Services range from physical therapy treatment of highly complex painful syndromes/problems, to post-operative care, to sports injuries and everything in between.
The Malta branch, which is located in Parade Ground Village at 7 Hemphill Place, can be reached at 518-289-5242. Its website is CapitalAreaPT.com.
