Environment Protect Fund Gives Money For New Grant Cottage Administrative Position
The Friends of Grant Cottage in Ganesvoort was awarded a $19,500 matching grant from the Environmental Protection Fund’s (EPF) Park and Trail Partnership Program to fund a new administrative position.
The Friends of Grant Cottage will have to raise an additional $6,500 in matching funds, for a total of $26,000.

Landmark Motor Inn, South Glens Falls, Sold By Naja Family After 43 Years In Business
The Landmark Motor Inn, 1418 Saratoga Road in South Glens Falls, has sold for $3.67 milllion, according to the Muroff Daigle Hospitality Group, which brokered the transaction with Vanguard-Fine.
The seller was John Naja of Landmark Motor Lodge Corp. and the buyer was Nadeem Lodging Corp., which previously owned the Red Roof Inn in Albany.

Winter is finally on its way out, and the real estate market in Saratoga County is starting to pick up steam again. As the market for 2018 comes into full swing, real estate agents have been taking note of emerging trends.
Karen E. Charbonneau of Miranda Real Estate Group Inc. in Clifton Park said while Saratoga County is seeing an increase in new home listings, there isn’t enough housing to meet the demand. She said the lack of housing is in part due to the increased buyer interest in the market.
Jessecology Eco-Friendly Landscape Design Will Open Its Nursery To The Public In May
Prior to 2018, the native plants grown at Jessecology Eco-Friendly Landscape Design’s private nursery were earmarked for the business’ landscaping projects, or sold wholesale to the trade.
According to owner Jesse Peters, that is changing.
Beginning May 15, each Friday the public will be able to visit the nursery at its location on Route 9N in Greenfield, or they can make an appointment to do so. Delivery is also available.

Erika Gallagher said after 14 years as a business owner she knew it was time to make a move. She and co-owner Denise Palumbo felt in order to be able to showcase all that they do at Plum & Crimson fine interior design, a new location was a must.
They decided to make a move from Spring Street in Saratoga Springs to 51 Ash St.
“The location we have now is on a corner in the arts district (Beekman Street), so we feel like we fit right in. The space works well with our needs. We were looking to own and no longer rent, and this came along,” said Gallagher.

Anyone who is a skier has had the experience of getting off a chairlift and being approached by a photographer. They take skiers’ photos and give them a retrieval ticket in the hopes that, at the end of the day, the skier will go to the photo booth in the lodge and purchase that photo.
