Saratoga Financial Services has partnered with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, Confidata, the Saratoga Business Journal and Fingerpaint to host the seventh annual Shred Event on Saturday, April 28, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, in recognition of Earth Day.
The event will take place at the Fingerpaint parking lot at 18 Division St. in Saratoga Springs. All paper brought to the site will be shredded, baled and shipped to local paper mills to be recycled for reuse.
There is a five-box maximum at the site. Once the shredding truck is full, items will not be accepted for destruction. The shred event is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This year organizers are accepting donations to benefit Saratoga Warhorse, a local nonprofit organization that assists psychologically suffering veterans by providing an equine-assisted experience with life-changing results.
Visit Saratoga Financial Services’ website at www.SaratogaRetire.com for a list of suggestions on old documents and confidential files to keep or shred. Staff will also be there to answer questions.
