Saratoga Bath Co. has recently launched an introductory line in time for the holiday season. The organic bath and body products company is owned by Rebecca Kane.
Kane has been the owner of AMP Galleries, located in the Saratoga Marketplace on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, since 2015, along with partner Sharon Castro. Her new collection, RK Livingwaters, brings the medicinal qualities of the mineral springs in Saratoga Springs to a visual platform.
Kane said she spent time at each natural spring located within the region taking photographs. The images are dye-infused into aluminum. Each image at the gallery reflects the healing power of the natural flowing waters.
After photographing the mineral springs, she began to conceive of ideas.
“I decided I wanted to use the mineral springs as inspiration behind a campaign whose message of inner grace and beauty could be shared by everyone. What better way to spread the word than with organic bath and beauty products inspired by these world renowned mineral springs?” said Kane.
Saratoga Bath Co. is launching with five products: body lotion, body wash, body soak, body scrub and a bubble bath. The products are part of the Classic Collection, which features a delicate coconut orange lemon scent. The Classic Collection is inspired by the high Victorian elegance of Saratoga Springs, said Kane.
The goal is to make customers feel like they were transported somewhere exotic when they used the products, she said.
All products are organic and not tested on animals, she noted. Each is made with top-grade, pure essential oils and raw botanicals. Kane enlisted the help of an organic chemist to produce all of the items.
For Kane, Saratoga Bath Co. is not simply about selling bath and body products.
“This is about the intention behind the product. This is about helping people empower themselves,” she said. “I always felt better when I would take a bath. I hope women can use this to acknowledge their own inner peace and beauty.”
Customers can purchase products at FINDS Boutique, 454 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. All products are also available on the Saratoga Bath Co. website.
Kane will launch what she calls the Springs Collection next year, also inspired by the various mineral springs.
The Springs Collection will feature both a women’s and men’s items. The women’s collection will feature the Polaris, Peerless, and Orenda springs. The men’s collection will come from the Governor and Hawthorn springs. She said each set comes with various bath and beauty products, designed with an original fragrance. The Polaris Spring set, for example, is a blend of lavender and clary sage, combined to promote balance.
“The heartbeat of Saratoga Springs starts with the mineral waters that flow through here,” she said.
Kane has plans to offer smaller versions of her products in local hotels. Gift sets are available with an assortment of products.
Since the debut of the Classic Collection, Saratoga Bath Co. has seen a success in sales.
“Sales have been lovely. We have had repeat customers,” said Kane. “One woman messaged me to say that the body lotion has changed her life.”
