The Holiday Inn Saratoga Springs recently completed its $3.5 million renovation project, what is calls a “refresh of accommodations and amenities”
The hotel at 232 Broadway now features a new look popular with business travelers, corporate groups and associations, as well as families and social groups celebrating weddings, milestones and holidays.
“We are proud to have been at the forefront of Saratoga Springs’ revival over 53 years ago, and to remain so today as the city has blossomed to a year-round destination,” said Cindy Hollowood, general manager, who has 36 years of service at the property.
“Our substantial reinvestment shows we are committed to remaining a leading destination in Saratoga Springs well into the 21st century. Beginning with our founding when area residents invested $100 per share to bring the first modern era flag hotel and convention center to Saratoga Springs, through today, we are proud of our legacy of community leadership.
“You could say the Holiday Inn Saratoga Springs was all about crowd funding before crowd-sourcing for startup businesses became cool. We can’t wait for our many returning and new guests to experience our brand new look along with our renowned personal service.”
The renovation brings contemporary design features to its rooms, shared common areas and its flexible event spaces that host all sizes of wedding, business and group events up to 1,000 participants.
Recent investments added 20 parking spaces for a total of 200 complimentary spaces with an updated, covered drop off and pick up portico leading to its beautifully designed contemporary lobby. WiFi access is free and accessible to all areas of the property.
Bookmakers restaurant, bar and lounge provides a modern, quality dining experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“Our group events and range of configurations of space makes us a value for business meetings, trade conferences, charitable or civic community events,” said director of sales Joanne Kirkpatrick, a 23-year service veteran at the property.
“It’s been a thrill supporting so many productive relationships created here. From the National Congressional Medal of Honor Event in 1998 to the 35-plus years of supporting the state Public Employee Labor Relations Association with their annual conference, it is one of the most rewarding aspects of our business. Recent updates make us an even more competitive venue for any size group or business.”
“Social events here are truly special for guests and for our team to help create cherished memories celebrating holidays, milestones and more,” said Julie Tierney, catering sales manager and an 18-year service veteran at the property. “We are finding people getting married at all stages of life and desiring different scale experiences and features for their special day.
The hotel has 168 rooms, 8,500 square feet of flexible event space and its common gathering areas and private meeting boardroom.
