Mary Martin & Co. Day Spa recently opened a third location. The space in Saratoga Springs is located at 2 Franklin Square.
Owner Mary Martin said they have been busy since a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in August, something she attributed to their reputation for integrity and not “over-selling” to their clients.
Martin is no newcomer to the health, wellness and beauty business. Before she settled in Saratoga and opened her first spa at 85 Washington St. Martin cut her teeth in Manhattan doing professional makeup and skin care. Originally from Whitehall, N,Y,, Martin said she always wanted to live in Saratoga.
She has been in the business for more than 20 years and has developed a loyal and expanding clientele. The newest location, formerly occupied by Xanadu Salon, offers many of the same services provided at 85 Washington St. and the 493 Broadway Hair Salon and Blowout Bar. But Martin has added new services a 2 Franklin Square, including their Halotheraphy Salt Cavern and Norvell Sunless Spray Tan.
Martin has hired two physicians and a physician’s assistant, elevating the facility to the level of “medi-spa.” She also has on staff Kathleen Cronin, a registered nurse state-licensed cosmetic tattoo artist, who does permanent makeup. There are seven stylists and one masseuse and Martin plans to hire more people months. In total, she now employs 18.
Mary Martin and Co. Day Spa offers an array of hair design and makeup artistry. Her aestheticians provide treatments such as Endymed, which she said tightens and “wakes up” the face and skin and stimulates collagen production.
They also offer a treatment called “aerosol laser,” used on clients suffering from rosacea and acne, and people with dark spots on their skin. Other services include hydro-facials, which remove impurities and cleanse oily skin while injecting serums to hydrate the skin.
Martin also offers spa and salon treatments for men, including hair styling, scalp treatments and hydro-facial therapy.
Mary Martin and Co. has a suite of special services for brides and their entourages, called “Blush 518.” Martin and her team have a combined total of more than 40 years in making brides look their best.
The spa is open seven days a week. To learn more and to book a treatment, call 518-583-4222 or visit them online at www.saratogaspringsdayspa.com.
