The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland, a 127-bed nursing facility that provides rehabilitation and nursing services to patients who require either short- or long-term nursing care following hospitalization, has appointed James Connolly of Saratoga Springs administrator.
In his new position, Connolly, a licensed nursing home administrator, will be responsible for the direction, supervision, compliance and maintenance of the facility’s day-to-day operations, as well as its adherence to federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Connolly, who has more than 35 years of experience in the health care field and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, has been honored on numerous occasions for this contributions to healthcare and community service in the Capital Region.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and masters degrees in both business administration and public health from Columbia University.

Daniel D. Bruno, co-owner of Bruno & Bruno Financial Services in Saratoga Springs, was named a member of the 2017 Chairman’s Council of New York Life.
Members of the Chairman’s Council rank in the top 3 percent of New York Life’s sales force of more than 12,000 licensed agents in sales achievement.

Arrow Financial Corp. announced Edward J. Campanella joined the company as senior vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer for Arrow, and executive vice president and chief financial officer for the company’s lead subsidiary, Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co.
Arrow is the parent company of Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. and Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co.,
Campanella will be responsible for planning and management of all finance, treasury and accounting functions for Arrow, which reached a record $2.7 billion in assets at the end of the second quarter, according to company officials. He will be based in Glens Falls and report to Arrow President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Murphy.
Campanella served as CFO of National Union Bank of Kinderhook. He brings 19 years of finance and banking experience to Arrow. Prior leadership roles include treasurer and director of finance at Opus Bank in Irving, Calif., and treasurer at Cambridge Savings Bank in Cambridge, Mass. He began his career in finance as an analyst for Darling Consulting Group.
Campanella earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Suffolk University in Boston. He succeeds Terry Goodemote, who in February announced his intent to retire as Arrow CFO after more than 20 years of service to the company, including more than 10 years as the chief financial officer.

Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte CPAs, PC (TBC) announced the promotion of two audit managers to partners.
Also, several employees were elevated from positions of staff accountant to senior accountant, senior accountants to supervisors, and supervisor to manager.
In addition, Katie Farrow, formerly the marketing manager, was promoted to director of marketing and given further responsibilities in the areas of practice growth and business development.
Joining the ranks of partner are Michael D. Cesternino, CPA, and Ryan McEvoy, CPA. Both partners will be directly responsible for client account management.
Cesternino joined the firm in 2006 and McEvoy has been with the firm since 2009.
Cesternino’s main responsibilities include managing and supervising a large client base, which includes commercial entities, including automotive dealerships, wholesalers, as well as not-for-profit organizations and governmental units including colleges.
He has a master of science in taxation from the University at Albany bachelor’s degree in accounting from SUNY Oneonta.
McEvoy joined TBC after working for an international accounting firm and works with clients in a wide range of commercial industries including manufacturing, distribution, construction, retail, healthcare, and technology.
He is an active member of the Eastern New York Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. A graduate of Siena College, McEvoy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Of the six accountants promoted, Mark Sagan, CPA, is joining the firm’s group of managers.
Sagan, who began his career in public accounting at TBC in 2008, provides a wide range of clients with accounting, auditing, and tax services while specializing in employee benefit plan audits and audits of large automotive dealership.
He graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
Four senior accountants promoted to supervisor include: Leah Gillham, CPA; Ben Henderson, CPA; AJ Zarrelli, CPA; and Nathan Pannucci.
Gillham and Henderson, who both joined TBC in 2015 after stints at international public accounting firms, are specialists in the firm’s internal tax department.
Zarrelli, a TBC senior accountant since coming on board in 2013 from a large international CPA firm, works with a range of clients including construction contractors, colleges, and technology firms.
Pannucci, who recently earned his CPA license and is pending notification of his permanent status, joined TBC in 2010 and services a number of clients with accounting and tax services, including school districts, construction contractors and real estate developers among others.
All four earned either their bachelor, masters or both degrees at the University at Albany. Henderson received his undergraduate degree from Marist College before earning his master of tax from the University at Albany. Gilham and Zarrelli each earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University at Albany and Pannucci earned a bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany.
Cassandra Hope was promoted from staff accountant to senior accountant.
Hope is a graduate of Siena College where she received a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. She has been with the firm since 2015.
Farrow is a graduate of Saint Michael’s College in Vermont where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication. She joined TBC in 2010 as the firm’s first marketing manager.

Dr. Rocco D. Grella has joined the interventional cardiology program at Saratoga Hospital, where he performs both emergency and elective interventional cardiac procedures.
Grella comes to Saratoga Hospital from Arnot Health, where he provided interventional cardiology services at three hospitals: Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath, and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira. He also is on the medical faculty of Columbia University in New York City and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania.
A graduate of Long Island University C.W. Post College, he earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. After an internship and residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, he completed fellowship training in cardiology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and in interventional cardiology at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.
Grella is board certified in internal medicine, with subspecialty certifications in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention.
