Four Saratoga County-based builders won awards in this year’s Parade of Homes sponsored by the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association (CRBRA)
The 15 participating builders, along with CRBRA members, Parade of Homes judges and sponsors, attended the awards event on June 15 at Saratoga National Golf Club.
In the Classic Homes category, Abele Builders of Clifton Park won awards for Best Architecture, Best Craftsmanship, Best Kitchen, Best Interior Decorating & Design, Best Master Bedroom Suite, Best Landscape & Outdoor Living and Best Overall.
In the Traditional Homes category, DeGraff-Bloom Custom Builders in Round Lake garnered awards for Best Architecture, Best Master Bedroom Suite and Best Landscape-Outdoor Living.
Barbera Homes of Albany won awards in that category for Best Craftsmanship, Best Kitchen, Best Interior Decorating & Design and Best Overall.
In the Executive Homes category, Pipino Builders of Clifton Park won an award for Best Architecture.
Also in that category, Marini Homes in Latham won awards for Best Craftsmanship, Best Kitchen, Best Interior Decorating & Design, Best Master Bedroom Suite, Best Landscape & Outdoor Living and Best Overall.
In the Luxury Homes category, Bordeau Builders, Ballston Spa, won awards for Best Architecture, Best Craftsmanship, Best Kitchen, Best Interior Decorating & Design, Best Master Bedroom Suite, Best Landscape & Outdoor Living and Best Overall.
In the Pinnacle Home category, Witt Construction of Saratoga Springs garnered awards for Best Architecture, Best Craftsmanship, Best Kitchen, Best Interior Decorating & Design, Best Master Bedroom Suite, Best Landscape & Outdoor Living and Best Overall.
In the Lake Estate Home category, Art Herman Builders of Averill Park won awards for Best Architecture, Best Craftsmanship, Best Kitchen, Best Interior Decorating & Design, Best Master Bedroom Suite, Best Landscape & Outdoor Living and Best Overall.
This year’s Parade of Homes, which took place over the course of two weekends, showcased custom homes to thousands of guests, CRBRA officials said. The self-guided tour demonstrated the latest in interior and exterior design, construction technology, architectural concepts, products and energy efficiency in the Capital Region.
All ticket sales went to benefit the Center for Disability Services to provide funding for specialized mobility equipment. MOVE, Mobility, Opportunities via Education/Experience, is a program for children and adults at the center that emphasizes mobility and skills development for people with disabilities. At this year’s gala, a donation from the Parade of Homes for $20,000 was presented to the Center for Disability Services.
CRBRA is comprised of builders, developers, remodelers, architects, engineers, trade contractors, material suppliers and professionals from associated industries throughout the region. It represents seven counties including Albany, Columbia, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady.
