The Saratoga Builders Association recently presented proceeds totaling $70,000 from the 2016 Saratoga Showcase of Homes to two nonprofit organizations.
Checks were presented to Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.
Showcase officials said the total is the highest amount raised in the past five years. The Saratoga Builders Association has now contributed over $1 million to local charities from the home tour event.
The 2016 edition of the Saratoga Showcase of Homes concluded its 21st year in October. There were 16 builders presenting 19 homes. The event gives the community an opportunity to preview current trends in building, landscaping, decorating and interior design.
Officials said this year’s tour had over 3,500 people purchasing tickets to visit the new homes on display over three weekends. It also saw the return of the Friday night kick-off Taste of Showcase event attended by nearly 400 people.
