Local forensic accountant Pamela D. Wickes has branched off to found Wickes Forensic Accounting & Consulting LLC.
The niche accounting services firm focuses on forensic accounting, litigation support, consulting, and collaborative divorce financial services.
The forensic accounting services include a wide variety of investigations and economic damages calculations to assist with the resolution of the financial aspects of business and personal disputes, including those related to employee embezzlement, shareholder disputes, divorce, bankruptcy, certain insurance claims, and construction and post-acquisition disputes.
“I’m proud to offer cost effective forensic accounting and consulting engagements to help clients resolve the legal or non-litigious matters they are navigating,” said Wickes, who is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, certified in financial forensics, and accredited in business valuation (CPA, CFE, CFF, ABV). While she works with legal teams providing expert witness services to individuals, companies, not-for-profits, and governments, Wickes also works with clients and the opposing legal and expert teams to help negotiate settlements and provide services to clients on a consulting basis.
She has provided diversified accounting services throughout New York state for 20 years and held senior management positions at two regional CPA firms during that time.
Since 2004, Wickes has specialized in the areas of forensic accounting and fraud investigations, economic damages, litigation support and fraud prevention consulting. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from SUNY Oswego and is a 2010 alumnus of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Albany Division’s Citizen Academy.
Wickes is the president of the Albany Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Capital District Women’s Bar Association (CDWBA), a chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, and the Collaborative Divorce Association of the Capital District and its practice groups. Wickes is a member of the 40 Under Forty class of 2014 and is the recipient of the CDWBA’s Distinguished Non-Attorney Member award.
Wickes was most recently a certified fraud examiner with Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte.
