The Saratoga Stadium, formerly known as Stadium Café, on Broadway in Saratoga Springs is under new ownership.
Dave Harmon, who has owned and operated the restaurant for the past 14 years, recently sold the restaurant to Saratoga Hospitality LLC, which owns two other establishments in downtown Saratoga Springs: Max London’s Restaurant and Mrs. London’s Bakery and Café.
The restaurant at 389 Broadway reopened as Saratoga Stadium on March 17.
The establishment celebrated its grand re-opening on April with a ribbon cutting attended by local elected officials and former NBA star John Starks.
Zach Cutler, corporate executive chef, and one of the owners, moved to Saratoga Springs in 2014. He is also corporate executive chef at Max London’s and at Mrs. London’s.
Saratoga Stadium will feature an American tavern-style menu in a sports bar-themed atmosphere.
“We wanted to do pub food, but elevated,” said Cutler. “We’re going to have similar-styled items, with a fresher twist.”
There is a section devoted to Chicago-style deep dish pizza, which is one of Cutler’s favorite items on the menu. Guests can choose from a variety of styles, such as meat lovers or seasonal veggie.
There are nacho platters on the menu, such as smoked chicken nachos, and crab and avocado nachos. Burgers include the Stadium BBQ burger and turkey burger. There are a variety of appetizers, fresh garden salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts.
The eatery, as in the past, has a full bar.
Saratoga Stadium was closed briefly for renovations.
“We gutted the entire kitchen,” said Cutler.
Some renovations will continue over the upcoming six months, he said.
The restaurant can seat approximately 200 people with about 20 people outside on the patio.
Saratoga Stadium uses fresh, local ingredients for their dishes. Cutler is locally sourcing all of the meats, for example.
Customers can check the eatery’s Facebook page for current specials.
