Roohan Realty announced that Helen P. Wilson has joined the company as a real estate sales professional.
She has an associate’s degree with honors from Nassau Community College and graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Wilson served in the U.S. Marine Corps in various capacities, most notably as the enlisted Marine Corps liaison to the U.S. House of Representatives. She achieved meritorious promotions to sergeant, receiving an honorable discharge with a Navy Achievement Medal upon leaving the Marine Corps.
She attended Pace University Law School and obtained a juris doctor degree and a position on the Law Review. She began a career with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, prosecuting various criminal offenses through trial.
She broadened her legal career as in house counsel to Liberty Mutual and State Farm Insurance Companies. She then became a claims professional in various departments at State Farm. She recently retired after 22 years at State Farm in June 2015.
The Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau hired Vanessa Cianfarani as association sales manager.
The hiring brings the number of sales professionals to four and the total staff to 11 full-time and two part-time employees.
A Saratoga native, Cianfarani has worked in the hospitality industry over seven years. After attending Schenectady County Community College, where she completed internships at the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes, she began her hospitality sales and event management career with Total Events Inc.
Cianfarani has planned and executed hundreds of weddings, social events and trade shows in the Capital Region. She volunteers her time at the Stowe Weekend of Hope for cancer survivors and their families.
Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP has hired Michael P. Murray as director of marketing.
Murray previously served as marketing manager for the Albany accounting firm SaxBST LLP. He brings over 20 years of marketing and business development experience, with a focus on the professional services arena.
He will manage Whiteman Osterman & Hanna’s marketing activities and work with the marketing team on specific firm and practice area initiatives.
Murray has a master’s degree in business administration from the College of Saint Rose, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Seton Hall University.
Andrei Krasnokutski was promoted to vice president/commercial relationship manager at Ballston Spa National Bank.
He is responsible for developing and managing commercial banking relationships.
Krasnokutski joined BSNB in 2012 as a senior credit analyst and was promoted to assistant vice president and commercial relationship manager in 2014. He has more than 10 years of experience in the banking industry, including the areas of commercial real estate, commercial and industrial lending and corporate debt restructuring. Krasnokutski earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University and his master’s in business administration with a concentration in finance from Cleveland State University.
Krasnokutski, of Malta, is part of the bank’s Volunteers in Action program where he helps organize an annual Electronics Recycling and Document Shred Day at BSNB. In 2015, BSNB staff members donated more than 9,000 volunteer hours through the Volunteers in Action program.
C.T. Male Associates Engineering, Surveying, Architecture & Landscape Architecture DPC has hired Ryan Berry as landscape architect II in the Land Services Division.
Berry will work with a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, civil, electrical and structural engineers, architects, surveyors, designers, GIS specialists and project managers to produce designs for clients. Projects include commercial, institutional, planned urban and mixed-use site planning; multi-use trail systems; and park and recreational planning and development.
Berry earned a Bachelors of Science degree in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts. He previously worked for Elan Planning, Design & Landscape Architecture PLLC and the LA Group Landscape Architecture & Engineering PC in Saratoga Springs. He is a state-licensed landscape architect.
Bond, Schoeneck & King announced that Michael D. Billok, a member in the firm’s Albany office, has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Launched in 2004, the CIPP/US credential demonstrates a strong foundation in U.S. privacy laws and regulations and understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible collection, use, and transfer of sensitive personal data.
Billok co-chairs the firm’s cybersecurity and data privacy practice. In addition to counseling clients on best practices for cybersecurity and data privacy, he is a labor and employment attorney, advising clients in a wide range of industries–including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and not-for-profit organizations–on all aspects of the employment relationship.
He has handled cases before a number of federal and state courts and agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the New York State Division of Human Rights.
Melissa Jennings was promoted to AVP/assistant controller at Ballston Spa National Bank.
Jennings is responsible for administering the accounting systems for the bank, preparing periodic financial reports, and working closely with internal and external auditors.
She joined BSNB in 2006 as a staff accountant and was most recently promoted to a bank officer in 2013. She earned a degree in business administration from the College of St. Rose.
The Broadalbin resident is an active volunteer for organizations that promote performing arts among youths, she participates in Saratoga County Office for the Aging’s meal delivery program and she is also an active member of Johnstown Reformed Church. Jennings was recently appointed head of the BSNB Community Support Committee, which helps promote volunteerism among the bank’s employees through the BSNB Volunteers in Action program.
Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. hired Christopher D’Ambro as vice president, corporate banking for the Capital Region.
D’Ambro will develop and manage commercial lending relationships in Rensselaer County and the greater Capital Region. He joins the bank with 18 years of experience, including 12 on the commercial banking/lending side.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and marketing/management from Siena College. Active in the community, he serves on the Town of Stillwater Planning Board, the Stillwater Area Community Center board of directors, and committees for the Unity House, Catholic Charities and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Saratoga Casino and Raceway honored the exceptional performance of four top team members at its annual awards banquet in February.
Awards were presented to: Bill McQuiston, pari-mutuel manager, Leader of Distinction; Mary-Ella Gardiner, VGM supervisor, Supervisor of the Year; Debra Stark, payroll assistant, and Sara Nizolek, cocktail server, Team Members of the Year.
Awards are based on nominations submitted throughout the year by Saratoga Casino and Raceway team members for any team member who is performing exceptional service. The winners were presented with a trophy and a $2,500 check.
The event also featured a salute to two team members who have worked for Saratoga Casino and Raceway for 15 to 25 years. Honorees were April Cilione, drop count supervisor, 15 years of service; and Ray Topjian, bartender, 25 years of service.
Creatacor, an exhibit design, fabrication and trade show management provider in Clifton Park, announced that Tom Lemery, the president and CEO of the company has transitioned to a new role as a consultant with Creatacor.
Gerry Glynn, Will Farmer and Linda Casimano, long time managers and partners of Creatacor for the last five years, assumed the roles of CEO, COO and CFO, respectively.
Lemery launched Creatacor Inc. in 1987, a spin-off of GE’s Corporate Exhibit Operation, along with the late Russell Percenti, Lemery’s mentor and longtime colleague at GE. Lemery has been instrumental to the success and growth of the organization in its 28-year history.
Glynn was selected to succeed Lemery as CEO. Glynn was previously the vice president of operations and has been with Creatacor for 23 years. He began in design and then moved to operations where he was promoted to oversee design, fabrication and logistics.
Farmer has been with Creatacor for 25 years and is now COO. Starting with the company as a junior exhibit coordinator, he worked his way up serving as project manager, account executive, and vice president of client services.
Casimano was promoted to CFO, completing the leadership team. Casimano began her career at Creatacor 24 years ago, working her way up from bookkeeper and controller to her most recent position as vice president of finance.
Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic announced the addition of Danielle Wilde, DVM, to its staff.
Wilde is originally from Brooklyn. She received her undergraduate degree from CUNY College of Staten Island in 2010 and her DVM degree from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
Prior to joining Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic, she practiced as a small animal veterinarian on Long Island. She also spent eight years as a veterinary technician in both private practice and shelter medicine.
The addition of Dr. Wilde comes as Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic prepares to expand to being open seven days a week. The clinic launches its expanded hours on April 15 and will be open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
