The Hilton Saratoga, the hotel attached to the Saratoga Springs City Center in downtown, is under new ownership.
Driftwood Hospitality Management of North Palm Beach, Fla., recently purchased the hotel on Broadway from Saratoga Hotel Associates.
“We are excited to say the property will remain a Hilton Hotel,” said Driftwood President David Buddemeyer.
Driftwood Hospitality’s portfolio includes several Marriott International Inc., Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group, Hyatt Hotels Corp., Wyndham Worldwide and Choice Hotels International Inc.
Buddemeyer said the on-site general manager is Mik Mahdavi, who has experience in the Driftwood company. Darryl Leggieri is director of sales and marketing.
Buddemeyer said staffing numbers will remain the same. Its relationship with the attached Saratoga Springs City Center will remain intact.
“We are in the beginning phases of planning refreshes and updates to the guest rooms and public spaces,” said Buddemeyer, while noting the hotel “is already in such great shape … We are shooting for a completion date sometime in early 2017.”
“We believe the Hilton Saratoga is poised for success with terrific core offerings and a central location that appeals to business and leisure travelers alike. Saratoga Springs is one of America’s great destination locations and we are excited about becoming a part of it,” he said.
The Hilton Saratoga sits on 5.27 prime acres at 534 Broadway and is attached to the Saratoga Springs City Center, a popular place in the region for conventions and events of all kinds.
It features a 58,000-square-foot of meeting space, a restaurant, fitness center and indoor pool.
