The Comfort Inn and Suites in Clifton Park
now has a full-service restaurant and banquet
facility for customers.
After several construction delays, the
American Bistro is now open for business at
the hotel.
The grand opening was scheduled for Jan.
11.
Restaurant owner Frank Ciaccio comes to
the hotel with 12 years of training restaurant
managers with the Cheesecake Factory. Ciaccio
said he trained at eight different locations and
is ready for both the change and the challenge
of opening a new restaurant.
He will have between 30 to 35 people on
staff.
"I am excited about the restaurant itself and
all that we will have to offer. From breakfast to
dinner, to our bar. It really has all the bells and
whistles," said Ciaccio.
The bistro will be open at 6 a.m. for breakfast,
with the bar then open from lunch through
dinner.
The restaurant can hold up to 100 people,
and the banquet facility has a 240 person
capacity.
"The banquet facility will allow the hotel to
be a prime location for weddings," said Ciaccio.
It can also host banquets, showers and work
functions.
Ciaccio said the restaurant is different from
most others located in hotels because it has a
unique menu with an authentic flair. He said from
the combination of the bar "mixologist," craft
beers and vast wine selection, both the bar and the
kitchen will offer something new and different.
The menu includes everything American, from
seafood to pot pies to favorites such as pork chops,
steaks, oysters and pastas.
"We consider it to be upscale casual, with
something for everyone," said Ciaccio.
The hotel is located at 7 Northside Drive in
Clifton Park. The phone number is 373-2255.
