The Bundle Store has a new location at 1789
Route 9 in Clifton Park. Nestled in between Exit 9
and Exit 10 of the Northway, owner Amber Chaves
said the move from Ballston Spa allows for more
space and other positive changes.
Chaves said going from 300 to 1,700 square feet
gives the store a better way to showcase its goods
and more space for classes conducted for mothers.
There is also more parking.
“Before we could only offer on-street parking and
classes sometimes held outside, because of space.
Now we have the room that we need,” said Chaves.
Chaves opened The Bundle Store in 2013. The
business expanded, but has managed to stay true
to its original purpose. Chaves said the reasons
why she started the company are still what is most
important. She wanted to give parents a safe place to
go for advice on baby carrying and natural products
for infants, such as cloth diapers.
“Sometimes the only resource a new mom
may have is Internet reviews of a product. We sell
products and answer questions in a completely
judgement-free environment,”said Chaves.
The Bundle Store specializes in “babywearing”
and cloth diapering. Babywearing, said Chaves, is a
stylish way of wearing a baby carrier that best suits
both the parent and baby. The store also specializes
in natural products and handmade items. Every
item in the store is hand-selected for quality and
safety.
Chaves and her staff of five also offer classes
and resources for both pregnancy and motherhood.
They also offer pump rentals, gear cleaning,
and registries.
“We research products so that parents can spend
less time reading labels and more time enjoying
your pregnancy and baby,” said Chaves.
Chaves is a pediatric occupational therapist with
over 12 years of experience working with children
and their families. She is certified in babywearing
through the Babywearing Institute and holds additional
certifications in the area of pediatrics as
they relate to the first few years of life. The other staff
members include a music teacher and a pre-natal
yoga instructor.
