A studio offering an “all-organic massage”
and skin care treatments is providing service
in Saratoga Springs.
Daniel Wahl is the owner of Centered Massage
& Wellness, 75 Woodlawn Ave. in Saratoga
Springs. Tara Allen, a certified aesthetician, is
also part of the practice.
“Tara and I have known each other for 15
years, since we were both working at Lincoln
Baths. We kept in touch over the years even as
we moved to different states. This opportunity
came up while I was working in the Hot Yoga
studio in Saratoga, and I jumped on it,” said
Wahl.
Wahl trained at the Swedish Institute of
Manhattan, and recently received advanced
certified personal training certification.
“We are about healing facilitators. They will
come to us with pain. We trigger the healing
mechanism in their body to get blood and
oxygen to their muscles. This creates a natural
healing within themselves. We’re about healing
the person inside and out,” said Wahl.
“Our combined experience sets us apart in
the industry. I have more Eastern training than
most people in the area. Tara is trained as a
massage therapist as well as being an aesthetician.
She does the head, feet and hands. She’s
amazing,” said Wahl.
The facility uses the product line Raw, Live
& Organic from the Body Deli in California.
“We are a results-oriented studio. Instead
of just, say, giving a massage, we want to find
out about a person’s illness through nutrition,
exercise and stress. We come at it from all
angles,” said Wahl.
The facility has a registered dietician on
staff. Nutritional counseling with a focus on
gluten-free living is offered. Four treatment
rooms are available.
“This is a place people can come and know
they can get the best treatment available. I
have great relationships with chiropractors,
acupuncturists and physical therapists in the
Saratoga area. I see myself as a first line of
defense, where a person in pain can come for
treatment,” said Wahl.
“We are proud that our practice is built on a
foundation of hard work as massage therapists.
Coming full circle and being able to help the
community on a bigger scale has been very
rewarding,” said Wahl.
“I have clients I have been working with for
over thirteen years. I look forward to expanding
and trusting other people, and stepping into
the next stage of my life as a business owner,”
said Wahl.
