Saratoga’s Kids Castle is a brand new
restaurant with an indoor kids’ play center that
opened Aug. 1 in Congress Plaza in Saratoga
Springs.
Offering daily play and healthy meals for
babies, kids and adults, the cafe focuses on
wholesome fun and food for the whole family,
its owners said.
Saratoga’s Kids Castle is owned by F
& C Development 1113 LLC, owned by
two experienced local entrepreneurs, Sara
Cummings and Patrick Fitch.
Cummings used to run a similar business in
Clifton Park, and Fitch is part owner of Fitch
Bros LTD, which owns Saratoga City Tavern on
Caroline Street in downtown Saratoga Springs
and the recently revived Kings Tavern on Union
Avenue, across from the main entrance of
Saratoga Race Course.
“We’re dedicated to making this a genuinely
fun and safe restaurant that brings families
together and reflects our passion for Saratoga
while expanding the local kids’ scene in this
amazing city,” said Cummings. “Saratoga’s Kids
Castle will be a place where parents can feel
good about taking their kids, from what they’re
eating to how their imaginations can run wild.”
Saratoga’s Kids Castle will serve nutritious
meals and snacks with a menu co-created by
registered dietitian nutritionist Nichole Dooling
of WholeNichole Nutrition.
The main dining room is also open on
weekends while the pirate and castle rooms are
reserved for parties.
Options include homemade baby food, brick
sandwiches and other kid-friendly meals,
snacks, grown-up entrees and a full cafe,
featuring lattes, coffees, loose teas, smoothies
and juices. Families with dietary restrictions can
also order off a specialty menu items catering
to different food allergies and sensitivities, the
owners said.
The play areas will consist of oversized castle
structures, an elaborate walk-in pirate ship,
play and craft tables, a toddler area and plenty
of other toys.
All-day play admission is $10 per child, 9
a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, (with
a discounted rate of $7 for each additional
child, and free admission 4:30-7 p.m. weekdays.
Monthly club membership to the Royal Court
makes unlimited weekday play visits affordable,
and members also receive discounts and other
perks, including 5 percent off all food at the
cafe, special bring-a-guest-free days and more.
In addition to general play hours, Saratoga’s
Kids Castle will host special events for holidays,
such as father-daughter balls, Halloween parties
and more. Saturday and Sunday birthday parties
are also available for kids of all ages, with themes
ranging from Princess Spa Parties and Tea Tyme
With The Queen to Pirate Parties, Dragon Parties and many others.
Parties are two hours long and include
options for themed party attendants, food
choices, personalized cake, face painting, dress
up, party tees, goodie bags, return passes, club
membership and much more.
Saratoga’s Kids Castle is located at 26B
Congress Street in the Congress Plaza near the
new Embassy Suites. It is open for dining and
all-day play Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to
