The seventh annual Taste of Malta event,
coordinated by the Malta Business and
Professional Association, raised $4,000 for
the Ballston Spa Partnership for Innovation
in Education Fund, a component fund of the
Community Foundation for the Greater Capital
Region.
It was hosted by Hudson Valley Community
Center at the TEC-SMART facility in Malta.
The fund supports mission related programs
and initiatives including the Clean Technologies &
Sustainable Industries Early College High School
program implemented in collaboration with
Hudson Valley Community College. Students from
over 25 regional school districts are participating
in this program which allows them to graduate
high school with 22 college credits.
The event featured member restaurants from
the area who provide samples of their featured
dishes. There were also prize giveaways.
In addition to the funds raised through
admissions’ and raffles several business’s
supported the event through cash sponsorships,
including Adirondack Trust, Ballston Spa National
Bank, Capital InteriorScapes, Nigro Co.’s. and
Stewart’s Shops.
