Tobin & Dunshee is a new law firm specializing
in matrimonial, family, criminal, vehicle and traffic,
landlord-tenant and personal injury cases.
The firm opened in April at 636 Plank Road,
Suite 106, in Clifton Park and consists of partners
Alexander Dunshee and Denise Resta-Tobin.
“Our firm was founded on the premise that
every client deserves aggressive representation
and personalized attention. Your attorney should
treat you in the way he or she would want to be
treated,” states the firm’s website.
Tobin received her law degree from Touro
College and a B.A. in English with teacher
certification. She practices in the areas of family/
matrimonial matters, personal injury, wills,
traffic matters, landlord/tenant disputes and
property litigation. She also dedicates time
providing pro bono legal services to victims of
domestic violence in the Capital Region.
Dunshee is a graduate of the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a dual-degree
in political science and Russian. He received his
Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 2011 and
from 2012 through 2013 he practiced criminal,
family, and divorce law in Binghamton with the
firm of Jackson Bergman, LLP. He also worked
in Saratoga County before wanting to start his
own law firm.
Both are residents of Ballston Lake.
“I wanted to provide personalized attention to
clients, which is something no other law firm in
the area was doing,” said Dunshee about starting
the firm.
He said at many other law firms, clients are
given a case worker and are told to call if they
have a question. Often, there is a lack of communication
and clients are left questioning the
status of their case.
“Everybody is given my cell phone number,”
said Dunshee. “People call me directly whenever
there is a problem or they have a question about their case.”
Dunshee and Tobin both agree that personalized
attention and service are the key to quality
care in law.
“It’s especially important in criminal cases,”
said Dunshee. “The client deserves to be able to
have a conversation with you.”
The law firm provides a free case consultation
to every client. An attorney will look at the case
and provide advice on how to proceed within 24
hours.
