Hogan Barton
joined the company
as a real estate sales
professional.
Barton, of Malta, is
a graduate of the University
at Albany with
a B.A. in communications
and rhetoric, and
attended the American Intercontinental University
of London with a focus on architecture.
She brings an array of marketing and design
experience with a knowledge of the Saratoga
area, having spent every summer for the past
three decades in or around Lake George and
Saratoga Springs.
She was previously the marketing director
of Phinney Design Group, a multi-disciplinary
architecture, interior design, green building
Consulting and Construction Management
firm in Saratoga Springs. She is also a current
partner at Edgy Betty, offering design and home
décor services for interiors and events, lifestyle
blog contributions on family travel, DIY projects
and hosting and entertaining endeavors.
Key Bank hired Ruth Mahoney as
its new Capital Region
president.
She will be the
regional leader for
KeyBank’s private
banking teams in the
Capital Region and the
Hudson Valley.
Mahoney was most
recently president of KeyBank’s Hudson Valley/
Metro NY market, but she has a lot of experience
with the Albany banking and wealth
management market, having worked 20 of her
26 years in the financial services industry in
the Capital Region.
She started her banking career as a retail
banking officer at Bank of Ireland in Dublin,
and joined Key as a KeyBank management associate
in 1991 after attending Marist College.
Between 2006 and 2010, she was senior vice
president and market manager for the Capital
Region and Hudson Valley districts for Key
Private Bank. Mahoney won the 2014 Corporate
Champion Award from the YWCA of White
Plains and the Westchester Business Council
Corporate Champion Award in 2013.
The Saratoga Schenectady Schoharie Association
of Realtors Inc. announced Debbi
Leahey as the new chief of staff for the tri-county
association.
A native of Ballston Spa and graduate of
Skidmore College, Leahey said 2015 will busy
for the association, including fundraising
events to benefit community charities, continuing
education opportunities and a new
leadership training program. After completing
her training, Leahey will become the association
executive.

L. Vanderwarker
joined the firm as an
associate, working in
the employment and
labor law, litigation
and dispute resolution,
and trusts, estates and
elder law practice areas.
Vanderwarker is a graduate of Syracuse
University’s Whitman School of Management
(summa cum laude) 2008, and Albany Law
School (summa cum laude) 2014, where she
also served as executive editor for lead articles
of the Albany Law Review. During law school,
she served as a judicial intern for the Hon.
Lawrence E. Kahn, District Judge, Northern
District of New York.
Vanderwarker is a member of the New York
State Bar Association and the Capital District
Women’s Bar Association.
Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. appointed
Kevin Catalano to vice president
of corporate banking.
Catalano will develop and manage commercial
lending relationships in the Capital
District. He will be based out of the Bank’s
Colonie office as well as the new Troy office
when it opens later this year.
Catalano joins Saratoga National Bank
with more than 16 years of banking and
lending experience in the region. He has a
bachelor’s degree in marketing from SUNY
Plattsburgh and an MBA from Sage Graduate
School. He is also a graduate of the Albany-
Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce’s
Executive Institute and Leadership Tech
Valley’s Class of 2008.
Active in his community, he is a mentor
to budding entrepreneurs. He taught a financing
course for the Regional Chambers
Entrepreneur Bootcamp and has served as a
business plan competition judge and a panelist
at several small business forms. In 2011,
he was named Financial Services Champion
of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration
for New York’s Region II.

that attorney Megan Collelo joined the firm
as an Associate.
Collelo will work between the firm’s Albany
and Poughkeepsie offices where she will
focus her practice on labor and employment
and litigation, as well as develop the firm’s
practice pursuant to the Railway Labor Act
as applicable to the airline industry.
Collelo joins the team from Trans States
Holdings, Inc. (Parent Company of Trans
States Airlines, LLC, GoJet Airlines, LLC, &
Compass Airlines, LLC) in Bridgeton, Mo.,
where she served in the Office of General
Counsel for two years. Her representation in
the area of labor and employment spanned
from handling grievances and arbitrations
and negotiating labor contracts under the
Railway Labor Act, defending lawsuits
brought under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and
FMLA, as well as state anti-discrimination
statutes, handling unemployment compensation
appeals, conducting internal
investigations and mediating employment
discrimination claims before the EEOC. She
has also worked on appeals briefs to the 7th
and 8th Circuit Courts of Appeals.
Collelo received her J.D. from University
of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.S.,
magna cum laude, from University of Scranton.
She is admitted to practice in New York,
Illinois, Missouri and Pennsylvania.

Tripoli to mortgage
originator.
Tripoli will work
to meet the mortgage
needs of customers
in the Capital Region.
He will be based out
of the Colonie and
Clifton Park offices.
Tripoli joins Saratoga National Bank with
more than 17 years of mortgage experience
at other local lending institutions. A
Schenectady native, he is a graduate of Mont
Pleasant High School and an active member
of the Rotterdam Elks Lodge.
Saratoga Construction LLC announced that Mike
McLaughlin was
promoted to vice president
of construction
operations.
McLaughlin has
been a project manager
with Saratoga
Construction since
2011. He has over 20 years of experience in
the industry and was previously with Lincoln
Logs and Bast Hatfield Construction.
He is a graduate of SUNY Cortland and
lives in South Glens Falls.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo appointed Anthony
J. Bonomo as the new board chairman of
the New York Racing Association.
The position had been vacant since
December, when David Skorton stepped
down to become the new secretary of the
Smithsonian.
Bonomo is chief executive of Administrators
for the Professions, which operates Physicians’
Reciprocal Insurers, an insurance
company for medical professionals.
In 2010, he was appointed to the NYRA
board by the state Senate. In 2012, he was
named to the NYRA Reorganization Board,
an oversight effort to address the structure
and finances of the nonprofit quasi-state
agency.
