PeroxyChem will begin construction on its
hydrogen peroxide purification plant this summer
in the Grande Industrial Park in Saratoga
Springs.
Company officials said the Saratoga Springs
location was chosen in response to the needs
of GlobalFoundries, to which PeroxyChem is a
product supplier.
The factory is designed to support the Fab 8
chip plant in Malta, where the computer chip
manufacturer uses hydrogen peroxide to clean
and remove impurities during production.
The new facility will become PeroxyChem’s
second hydrogen peroxide purification facility
in the U.S. and third worldwide, according to the
company’s Global Business Director Stephanie
Montag.
PeroxyChem’s factory will create 10 managerial,
laboratory and chemical manufacturing
jobs, she said.
Montag said construction will begin this spring
and should be completed in early 2016.
