CAP COM a Colonie-based federal credit union,
is planning to open a branch in Malta.
“We’ve been looking to branch out into this area
for some time and it’s finally coming to fruition,”
said Robert Roemer, vice president of innovation
and project management at CAP COM.
“We have a significant amount of membership
in Malta and the Saratoga County area. We want
to provide this convenience by moving into the
area,” said Roemer.
The management at CAP COM sees Malta as
a good area for expansion due to its growth in
recent years.
The site of the new CAP COM location will be
2439 Route 9, near the Price Chopper and Dunkin
Donuts. The facility will be 3,400 square feet.
Construction is expected to begin this summer,
said Roemer. The target for completion is
early 2016.
CAP COM Federal Credit Union offers a full
suite of services, including checking and saving
accounts, online banking, mortgages, insurance,
credit cards, and other services.
There are several ways to become a member
of CAP COM. Individuals who live, work or attend
school in the cities of Albany, Cohoes, Green
Island, Mechanicville, Rensselaer, Schenectady,
Troy and Watervliet can join. Employees of more
than 700 companies can join. Family members of
existing members can join as well.
The credit union is also involved in the community,
through the CAP COM Cares Foundation.
“We are a truly local company, with our
headquarters here in Colonie,” said Roemer. “We
take pride that we can serve members of this
community.”
