Dr. Bryan Briddell, owner and director of
Saratoga Peak Performance, said he has relaunched
his business to include a “training
center of excellence.”
The center, at 30 Glick Road in Saratoga
Springs, consists of sports conditioning experts
and certified personal trainers who are centered
around sports-specific, athletic enhancement and
injury reduction programs. Briddell said they work
with athletes of all ages and skill levels, as well as
helping adult personal training clients.
“We have helped hundreds of athletes and adult
clients achieve their goals,” said Briddell.
Saratoga Peak Performance has various programs
including yoga, pilates, boot camp, postphysical
therapy and general strength and fitness.
“We aren’t just an athletic training facility helping
school-aged and collegiate athletes achieve
their goals, although we have been extremely
successful in that regard and that’s what we’re
known for, ” said Briddell.
The client base ranges from athletes who have
earned NCAA Division I scholarships, to a pair of athletes who were recently selected to play for
the U-19 Women’s National Field Hockey Team in
Belgium, to adults who are recreational 5K runners
and marathon runners. Briddell’s workouts
integrate several components including strength,
power, flexibility, mobility, endurance and recovery
techniques.
Briddell earned his Ph.D. in the Department
of Movement Science of Florida State University
and served as an assistant professor and men’s
tennis coach at Skidmore College for eight years.
His tennis program qualified individuals for five
consecutive NCAA Division III championships.
He has presented numerous athletic enhancement
seminars and workshops around the region
to youth, high school, college and adult sports
groups. He is also a certified SPARQ and Nike
sports conditioning specialist.
The training center of excellence utilizes
group classes integrating the best principles of
yoga, pilates, barre, cardio kick-boxing, functional
strength, athletic movement and mobility.
