The Chamber of Southern Saratoga
County named Scott Rajeski, vice president
and chief financial officer of Latham Pool
Products, as its chairman for 2015.
He replaces Dianne Barber-Kansas of
Kansas Eye Surgery.
Formerly employed by GE, Momentive
Performance Materials and GlobalFoundries,
Rajeski, a native of Mechanicville, is
“a logical fit for the volunteer leadership of
an organization that has staked its claim as
Tech Valley’s leader in this vital business
segment,” the Chamber said in a statement.
“Having worked for GE, Momentive,
and GlobalFoundries, and now Latham, I
understand the issues we all face in the
region when it comes to manufacturing,”
said Rajeski.
“Being able to work with all of
the key players to make the Capital District
the place to be for manufacturing will serve
us all better right down to the many small
local businesses who will also benefit from
the increased activity.”
Rajeski leads a team of directors including
chairman-elect Josh Spain of Momentive,
Vice Chairwoman Jenifer Marten of
BSNB, Treasurer John McCann of Teal,
Becker and Chiaramonte and Secretary
James Wachala of Turner Construction.
Factoring into the leadership group are
Panos Angelopoulos of Cleveland Polymer
Technologies in Watervliet, who leads the Chamber’s new VIP Manufacturing Committee organized in fall 2014, and Joe Berman
of Price Chopper Supermarkets, director
of the Sustainability and Green Energy
Committee.
