The Saratoga Economic Development
Corp. in partnership with SUNY Adirondack
and WSWHE BOCES, is offering a series of
eight classes under the title “Manufacturing
Matters,” designed to support existing manufacturing-
based companies in advancing their
production to the global economy.
The courses will be at the SUNY Adirondack
Wilton campus on Route 9.
Officials said the courses will start with Introduction
to Resource Partner Organizations,
9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. It is
free of charge and registration is required. This
is set up as a meet-and-greet with people the
organizations involved and network.
The other segments are:
• Legal: Contracts and Patents, 1-3 p.m.
Tuesday, March 24. It is a discussion and panel
presentation covering both contract and patent
information.
• Exporting: Stateside and Worldwide, 9-11
a.m. Tuesday, March 24. This session presentation
will encompass all aspects of answers,
guidelines, networks and policies
• Marketing, 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March
31. Marketing ideas, concepts and guidance
specifically for manufacturers will be covered.
• Real Estate Development and Distribution,
1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Businesses that need
more space, new space or maybe even ready
to take on ownership of a building can chat
with experts specializing with working with
manufacturing operations.
• Capital and Financing, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday,
April 14. Learn how public/private deals can
work and what programs are out there for
manufacturing businesses.
• Human Resources and Workforce, 9-11
a.m. Thursday, April 16. Presenters will offer
solutions to outlets for workforce, how to
train, motivate and retain your workforce in a
competitive market.
• ENERGY-Powerful Partners, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday,
April 21. Partners will give advice, guidance
and connections to utilize the programs and
incentives available for manufacturers. They
will also answer questions, give recommendations
for costs, timelines and needs analysis.
The sessions are $250 for all eight or $45
each.
