The Saratoga Builders Association announced
proceeds totaling $50,000 from
the 2014 Saratoga Showcase of Homes
to Rebuilding Together Saratoga County
and Habitat for Humanity of Northern
Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties.
The association has contributed more
than $875,000 to local charities from the
annual event. This was the 19th year for
the showcase.
The 2014 Saratoga Showcase of
Homes People’s Choice award winners
were also announced. Classic Homes in
Mechanicville won in the Classic Home
category, VanVeghten Construction won
in the Executive Home category and Witt
Construction won in the Luxury Home
category.
Winning the People’s Choice category
for best “showcase chef” was Zest Cooks,
capturing the culinary award for the second
consecutive year.
The 2014 edition featured 12 award winning
builders presenting 13 homes.
Organizers said more than 3,000 people
purchased tickets to tour the homes on
display over three autumn weekends.
Attendees had an opportunity to preview
current trends in building, landscaping, decorating and interior design.
The Saratoga Builders Association officials
said they are looking forward to
keeping the long-running show an integral
part of the fall season.
Proceeds benefited two local charities-
Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and
Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga,
Warren and Washington Counties.
Officials said the 2015 Saratoga Showcase
of Homes will be held Sept. 19-20,
26-27 and Oct. 3-4. It will be the 20th anniversary
