The Institute for
Organization Management,
the professional
development program
of the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce Foundation,
announced that
John Marcantonio,
membership director,
of the Saratoga
County Chamber of
Commerce, has graduated from the program
and has received the recognition of IOM.
Awarded to all graduates of the Institute
program, the IOM recognition signifies the
individual’s completion of 96 hours of course
instruction in nonprofit management.
In addition,
participants can earn credit hours toward
the certified chamber executive (CCE) or
certified association executive (CAE) certifications.
Nearly 1,000 individuals attend Institute
annually.
Towne, Ryan & Partners PC announced that,
for the fifth year in a row, five attorneys at the
firm have been recognized in the 2014 New York
Super Lawyers Magazine, a Thomson Reuters
publication, as being in the top 5 percent of
attorneys in Upstate New York.
Firm principals Claudia A. Ryan (employment
and labor), Susan F. Bartkowski
(franchise/dealership), Elena DeFio Kean
(government/cities/municipalities), and
James T. Towne Jr. (business litigation), and
one attorney of counsel to the firm, John F.
Moore (employment litigation defense), were
named to the Upstate New York Super Lawyers
list as top attorneys in Upstate New York.
In addition, Ryan and DeFio Kean were
named to the list of the Top 25 Women Lawyers
in the 2013 New York Super Lawyers. They,
along with Towne, appear on the list of the Top
25 Hudson Valley Lawyers in the same edition.
It is the third consecutive year Ryan has appeared
on these lists, the second consecutive
year on these lists for DeFio Kean, and Towne’s
first appearance on the Top 25 Hudson Valley
Lawyers List.
Towne has appeared annually on the Upstate
New York Super Lawyers list since 2007;
DeFio Kean annually since 2009; and Ryan,
Bartkowski and Moore have appeared annually
on the list since 2010.
Associates of Glens Falls Insurance recently
hired Amanda L. Crozier of Saratoga Springs
as new marketing executive.
She began with the company at the beginning
of July and will handle new business marketing
and renewals for AOGF. Crozier has been
in the insurance industry for five years and was
previously employed with Cool Insuring Agency.
A native of Ballston Spa, she is a graduate of
Emmanuel College in Boston with a Bachelor
of Arts in sociology/philosophy and a graduate
of the Hartford School of Insurance. She
completed the New York State Department
of Financial Services’ licensing course for
insurance brokers and holds CISR (certified
insurance service representative), CRIS (construction
risk and insurance specialist) and
CLCS (commercial lines coverage specialist)
designations.
Crozier is an active volunteer with Big Brothers/
Big Sisters.
The Law Firm of McNamee, Lochner, Titus &
Williams PC announced that Dana P. Stanton
has joined the firm as an associate, working in
the environmental law, land use law, energy
law, commercial litigation and criminal defense
practice areas.
Stanton received her J.D. degree, summa
cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union
University in 2013. She was an associate editor
of the Albany Law Review.
During law school, Stanton interned with
Albany Law School’s Domestic Violence Prosecution
Hybrid Clinic, the Family Violence
Litigation Clinic, the Immigration Project, the
United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern
District of New York, and the state Office of the
Attorney General’s Environmental Protection
Bureau.
She received her B.S. degree in chemical
engineering from RPI in 2007. Prior to attending
law school, she worked as an engineer
for General Electric, and graduated from the
Operations Management Leadership Program.
Stanton is a member of the New York State
Bar Association, the Albany County Bar Association,
and the Capital District Women’s
Bar Association.
Roohan Realty announced
that Joanna
Rockwood and Frances
Ryan joined the
company as real estate
salespersons.
After attending Bryant
College in Rhode
Island, Rockwood
moved to Boston to
work in the financial
district. After returning to Malta and purchasing
a home, she began working in real estate
as a property manager for a few family-owned
homes.
In 2012, she opened BodyWise Fitness
Studio in Malta and recently added Island
Mist Tanning. For the past two years they
have participated in
the Saratoga Tour de
Cure, a cycling event,
raising money for the
American Diabetes Association.
Ryan has over 20
years’ experience as a
Realtor, having owned
a residential real estate
firm on the North
Shore of Boston, in the
Cape Ann area of Massachusetts, serving the
communities of Gloucester, Rockport, Essex,
Manchester and Beverly.
After selling her real estate firm, she relocated
to Colorado for five years, where she was
a licensed real estate broker and worked in the
vacation rental area of real estate.
Saratoga Hospital welcomed pulmonary
medicine physician Dr. Anthony Iannuccillo
to the medical staff and to Saratoga Center
for Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, a
member of the hospital’s Saratoga Regional
Medical Group.
Iannuccillo earned his medical degree from
Sackler School of Medicine in New York City.
He completed a residency and a fellowship in
pulmonary medicine, both at Albany Medical
Center. He is board certified in internal medicine
with subspecialty certification in pulmonary
medicine.
Couch White LLP, a law firm with an office
in Saratoga Springs, announces that Patrick
J. Higgins has joined the firm as a partner.
Higgins comes to Couch White with more
than 29 years of practice in civil litigation. He
was a partner at Powers & Santola in Albany.
Over the past 29 years, Higgins has prepared
and tried to verdict numerous cases in state
and federal courts. He has defended claims
against architects and engineers, and represented
clients in Superfund and navigation law
actions. Higgins also has represented clients in
numerous civil actions, including a variety of
complex personal injury matters.
He has been recognized by the New York
State Bar Association as a distinguished author
and editor in the field of trial practice.
He has lectured at bar association seminars
across the state on civil procedure and trial
tactics. His articles have appeared in national
trial magazines and the New York State Bar
Association Journal. In the fall of 2013, he
created and chaired a six-city seminar on Trial
Preparation for the New York State Academy
of Trial Lawyers which received the Academy’s
2014 President’s Award.
He is also a past president of the Albany
County Bar Association, and a past member
of the New York State Bar Association’s House
of Delegates. A graduate of SUNY Buffalo Law
School, with a J.D., Higgins is admitted to

oncologist Dr. John P. Mongan to its medical

at York Hospital in York Maine.
Mongan earned his medical degree from
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
in Philadelphia. He completed an internship/
residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical
Center in Lebanon, N.H. and a hematology/
oncology fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital
affiliated with the University of Rochester
Medical College.

Berkshire Bank has created a small business
banking team as part of its services and hired
people to fill roles on the team.

Wright recently received a bachelor of science
degree in criminal justice from SUNY
Plattsburgh, where she was a member of the
Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society and a liberal
arts degree from Hudson Valley Community
College with a focus in Criminal Justice
where she graduated with academic honors.
